One Happy Thing Cbus

Volunteer

Due to the wide-reaching impact of COVID-19, nonprofits in central Ohio that serve residents in need find themselves under-resourced to serve a growing demand for critical services.

Ohio’s stay at home order allows us to continue helping our neighbors. That means urgently needed services are still happening. And healthy and willing volunteers are needed now more than ever. Families desperately need food for their kids. Senior citizens still need meals delivered.

Here are several resources to find volunteer opportunities:

  • United Way: COVID-19 Community Response Fund Volunteer Opportunities
  • Volunteer Match: Remote and On-Site Volunteer Opportunities
  • Besa: Volunteer Opportunities

United Way: COVID-19 Community Response Fund Volunteer Opportunities

You’ll find the list of current volunteer opportunities here. When you sign up, you’ll get instructions on how to stay safe and keep others safe. We understand, though, if you want to stay home. There are plenty of virtual projects included, too!

Volunteer Match: Remote and On-Site Volunteer Opportunities

This page features virtual and on-site volunteer opportunities to aid communities impacted by COVID-19 (Coronavirus). Thousands of volunteers like you are needed daily. Check back often to find ways you can help during these difficult times.

Besa: Volunteer Opportunities

Besa is a Columbus, Ohio based not-for-profit with a mission to connect more people to community service. We envision a world where giving back is part of everyone and everyday life.

Ohio’s current stay-at-home order permits people to continue helping neighbors. That means our critical-need projects, as well as those of our partner agencies, are still happening. And healthy and willing volunteers are needed now more than ever, especially to feed the hungry.
